National Night Out is an annual event that seeks to strengthen the relationship between our community and law enforcement. Come join us for an evening full of family fun!
The Port Washington Police District’s National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The free community event is hosted at Lions Field (PYA), located at 25 Glen Lane in Port Washington, New York.
The family-friendly evening—held to strengthen the relationship between residents, community leaders, and local law enforcement—typically features the following highlights:
- Event Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Event Organizers: Hosted by the Port Washington Police District, Port Washington Fire Department, Sands Point Police Department, Littig House Community Center, and Port Washington Youth Activities (PYA)
- Activities: Police and fire equipment displays, interactive games, giveaways, and safety information tables
- Community Games: A highly anticipated annual tradition features a friendly softball game between the local police departments and the fire department.
